Please note the writer of this blog entry is not left or right, not Democrat or Republican. As one who has a graduate science degree and also has studied Hebrew and Greek Scripture, the reality of the Christian God is non-political. The Bible is not political and it applies to every human who understands the origin of humanity (both from a scientific perspective that includes design in nature and what the Scriptures reveal about the will of Adonai; further the roots of Jewish and Christian ties back to the God of Israel).
Given all of the above, some people say they are ‘evangelical’ and that implies Bible “believing people.” Are they really? If anyone lacks the ability to think, discern, dig into the truth, then saying 'evangelical' may be superficial and not reality.
So, is candidate Trump living according to the will of God?
Do you understand that God will ultimately be the judge of all humans?
Did you ever compare the truth of Trump to what Apostle Mark wrote?
Take a look and then think about what comes out of Trump’s mouth, what he has done in the past, how he behaves today, what is truth, and how God will trump candidate Trump (Mark 7:18-23, NKJV):
So He (Messiah) said to them, “Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?” And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”
And does a defiled man deserve to defile a nation and so may other people?
If you call yourself evangelical, will you now turn back to what the Scriptures say and not what politicians and their misguided supporters claim?
Think about this! Look for details and search truth!
Pray and look up to the One who gave you this life.
By the way, if you refuse to discern, to think, and (mis)label yourself as an 'evangelical,' you might think it just a matter to forgive a candidate for something. Is that blanket forgiveness without understanding what qualifies and who really forgives? What you need then is to read Colossians 3 (start with v 1-6) and see that a person that remains disobedient and not a believer, then God will exercise His wrath. Then and only then can forgiveness come when the disobedience stops and repentance comes ... verses 8 to 10 tell you to put off bad behaviors, you the believer, put on the 'new man' and be renewed ... and that means to see the truth and not lie. Are you looking at the whole truth of what you see in the political realm?
Are other sources misleading you? Are your eyes open? Do you hear with your ears? Think, explore for truth, be fully informed in a practical and in a scriptural sense ... be sensible and not persuaded by misinformation, lies, and one person's ill behaviors. (Add Colossians 3 to Mark 7 and wake up)
